An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Biochemistry Quality Manager who can lead and monitor quality aspect within the state of the art flagship laboratories Health Service Laboratories at the Halo Building and Whitfield Street. The post holder will be a key member of the department developing and maintaining quality systems, working with the Operational team and quality leads of other disciplines to deliver the quality policies and objectives at HSL.
The post holder will be have post graduate qualifications in Biomedical or Life Sciences and have significant experience of working in the laboratory as a registered Biomedical Scientist. Knowledge & experience of laboratory accreditation (UKAS and regulatory bodies) is essential as is good organisational and communication skills.
Main duties will include administration, monitoring & implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and to oversee Quality & compliance activities in accordance with appropriate accreditation or regulatory bodies (e.g. CPA, UKAS, GXP, MHRA etc.)
Other duties include assisting in maintaining the QMS across the HSL Group. Review, administration and dissemination of the Quality documentation across the HSL Group, including Quality Manuals, AMRs, and controlled documents and to assist in the organisation of and participation in Quality Management Group meetings held regularly across the HSL Group.
