We were delighted when the main construction works at the Halo were completed, and the building handed over to us on 5th December last year. Since then, we have started the huge task of moving in various sections of the organisation.
Our first laboratory, offering non-invasive pre-natal testing (NIPT) went live with clinical services on 16th January 2017. Advancing the science of pre-natal screening, it’s a service which continues to go from strength to strength.
Over the next few months, we’ll continue to deliver and commission laboratory analysers and ancillary equipment throughout the building. The main transition of activity is planned to run from early April until September 2017.
As well as creating state of the art laboratories, we’re also creating a great work space for our team. Work on the Halo café on the ground floor have started and is due to open in April.
Our ambition has always been to create one of Europe’s leading pathology laboratories as well as a flagship UK base for Sonic Healthcare.
Now, the extensive planning and detail we’ve invested in the Halo building is coming to fruition, and our new home begins to look, feel and operate as we had always envisaged.
