Our Genetics Division has extensive expertise in the testing, diagnosis and counselling of inherited disorders and of genetic variation that can influence susceptibility to disease or therapeutic response to drugs.

We test DNA for mutation analysis, and study whole chromosomes for inherited disorders and acquired chromosome rearrangements in cancer using cytogenetic analysis.

Our pharmacogenetics tests can provide vital data when selecting volunteers for trials. They identify variations in genes involved in drug metabolism, and can help improve drug safety and efficacy.
