We have a full time vacancy for a Biomedical Scientist in our Haematology & Blood transfusion Department at The Royal Free Hospital in London. Applications are invited from committed, motivated and enthusiastic HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientists to join the HSL team at the Royal Free Hospital. With two year’s post registration, specialist experience you will have completed the IBMS specialist portfolio (or equivalent) in Haematology and Blood Transfusion.  You will be required to participate in the 24/7 shift system, covering late hours, nights and weekend working; after suitable training as required.

The successful candidate will undertake haematological and blood transfusion investigations working in the Rapid Response Laboratory, providing a 24/7 service. The post holder will rotate through all sections of the department as required, to maintain knowledge and skill levels to work both independently and under the supervision of senior biomedical scientists.
