A vacancy has arisen for a full time, HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist in our Infection Sciences Department based in Central London.

Duties for this position will include helping with the daily running of the laboratory section to which you have been assigned within the Department of Infection Sciences. Additionally, you will assist in the performance of the routine diagnostic analytical work of the department as directed in order to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results. You will maintain the highest professional and technical standards in the department and lead, motivate, supervise and train staff of lower grades.

The job holder will be expected to process and test patient specimens in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures by using manual, semi and fully automated laboratory methods.
